Blackberry Pickin’

I’m making blackberry jelly this week. The berries have started to ripen and we have to pick them as soon as possible so the local bear doesn’t eat them. 🐻 It already picked our blueberry bush clean overnight!

We let our blackberry canes get out of control the last couple of years. I’m not sure how we will clean this tangled mess, but at least they are thornless. That makes berry pickin’ much more enjoyable. 😁
Although, planting a few along the barbed wire fence defeats the purpose of thornless berry bushes.

Is anyone else making jellies or jams. What is your favorite?

In a few days I’ll share some more gardening and canning photos...
and a very sweet surprise! 🥰

Take care and God bless,
Lana
