Mavis and Mavis

Happy April!

A new little piece of art by me.

It's a new month and time for a new website / blog!

Suzanne Davis of Pear Tree Primitives and I have combined our names and our "alter-egoes" - and a mutual love for the cottage-style - and have opened a new little website called Mavis and Mavis.

You can get a peek of our opening night and read more about it here:

A few of Suzanne's beautiful paintings!

Suzanne has painted some absolutely lovely cottage farmhouse style paintings! I couldn't make up my mind of which one I loved best!

I am trying out some new upcycled pieces ~ artwork on my leftover book covers. I've decided to call these Unbound. I think the title fits, especially when you look at the synonyms of unbound: liberated, limitless, uninhibited, uncontrolled, boundless, open. The fact that the book is no longer bound and I am free to use the cover in any way I decide is liberating, too!

Closeup of the Fleur de Lis & Honeybee watercolor by me.

And about Mavis and Mavis ~ it's a "play" on our last names: Lana Manis and Suzanne Davis....all the letters are in there somewhere!

When you get a chance, please come over for a visit. We will be updating a few times a year, sometimes with the seasons, and sometimes to coincide with a holiday. Leave us a comment, too! We love hearing from you! :)

Take care and God bless,
Lana
