Brought a set of my fraktur minis home from a shop a few weeks ago when I changed out inventory. Did a little re-do on them: painted the frames black and distressed a bit. I like that much better than the natural wood frames ~ they pop better with dark frames. The watercolors were inspired by frakturs and bookplates from the late 1700s to the early 1800s. They have been stained to look old. Signed and dated, Lana Manis 2008. Artwork measures 2 1/2" x 3 1/2"; frame is 4" x 5"; easel back.
