When I sold on Etsy, I had a really bad habit of letting my listings expire and then forgetting to update them again. A few months back, I put those shops on vacation - permanently - and started moving things over to Honeysuckle Lane (on Big Cartel).

Penny Rug Collection - Christmas at Honeysuckle Lane

So... I finally took some time to do a little handwork and came up with this penny rug collection, just in time for Christmas!

Everything I used was vintage wool, from the old army blanket for the background fabric to sweaters, skirts, jackets, and blankets for all the pennies.

First, I made a large, lumpy, hefty pillow... it's filled with wool scraps which gives it so much weight and that handmade, primitive charm.

Then I stitched a pair of Christmas stockings...

And last, a penny rug mat for... whatever use you decide...

Prayers for Jolee

I never in a million years dreamed I would be writing a post like this. But I am, and I'm asking for your prayers. My little two-year-old granddaughter, Jolee, had a large brain tumor removed earlier this week. The biopsy confirmed that it was cancer, and chemo will begin when she has healed from the surgery.

Our family asks for your prayers...

for Jolee, for her mommy and daddy,

and for the doctors treating her.

We have faith that the Lord will see us through this and little JoJo will be a testament to His love and faithfulness.
