While working on paper wreath orders, I happened to think of the children's books that I have collected. Many are old and worn, torn and tattered, but I couldn't resist buying them after seeing all the sweet graphics in them. Over the weekend I made one from an old Alice and Jerry book. I call this wreath Little Goat (see the center medallion). Too bad there's no one in my family having a baby soon or I could give this for a baby shower gift! You may read all the details about it in my etsy shop here.
I'm going to take a break for a few hours... then will be back tonight with turkey pics!
Thank you for stopping by...OMGosh, your children's book paper wreath is sooooo ADORABLE! What a brilliant idea for those darling little books, especially those that have seen better days! I'll be checking back-so glad you found me so I could find YOU!

I've never heard of Alice and Jerry, here it was Dick and Jane. But then again you're far too young to remember them!

ReplyDeleteThese are so beautiful, Lana! Only you would think to do this with these old pages! Becky
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! I read about a wreath that was in a catalog made from "folded book pages", but I never found that catalog issue and couldn't find it online. So these wreaths are made from my own imaginings, but I'm sure I'm not the first one to think of it this way ~ "nothing new under the sun" and all that, lol! This is a wonderful way to use all the old tattered books that I couldn't pass up at thrift stores.
