I'm Still Here...

I will be the gladdest thing under the sun. I will touch a hundred flowers and not pick one.
~Edna St. Vincent Millay~

Just wanted to let everyone know I am still around ~ just very busy!
My youngest son graduated high school last night ~ with honors. We are so proud of him!
I am busy painting the trim in my new workroom today ~ I took a break and thought I'd do a quick blog post and then get back to work. I'll share photos next week...
Have a lovely weekend!
Take Care & God Bless,
Lana

  1. I totally understand the busy thing....I am trying to play catch up from all the time I have been away. The time with my new grandson and his big brother was heaven on earth but now it's back to reality! Can't wait to see your finished workroom! Looking around mine I am feeling that a little re-freshing would be nice as well! LOL.....Pam

  2. Lana, I am another one who totally empathizes with the "busy life" syndrome... especially with your having a senior in high school this time of year (congratulations.) My oldest will be a senior next year, and I am in denial. No matter, I had better get ready for it I suppose. Good job getting yours through with honors! Love the beautiful flower photos...

    Blessings,

  4. Congratulations to your son, Lana!

The Edna St. Vincent Millay quote is one of my favorites. I once made a little sign on wood with a painting of many flowers and that quote and it sold straight away at a show to one who, like me, doesn't like to pick flowers. I don't know why; it's just sad to me. Oh well.

  7. I have always loved that quote too- I always feel kind of guilty about cutting flowers, like I should leave them right where God put them, in all of their glory.

My oldest daughter is a high school senior, too, but she doesn't graduate til June 16! Actually, I am kind of glad, I am trying to really enjoy and savor this bittersweet time... Proud she is getting ready to fly, sad because I will miss her so...
