Is this your relative? updated

As promised, I have a few more photos from the 127 Sale. I spent all day from about 9:30 - 3:30 just in the Jamestown, TN area. I only stopped at about 1/3 of the sales. Next year I guess I'll have to make a week of it!

Below is part of the bypass south of Jamestown. It was somewhat easier to park here and walk up and down to road to all of the sales. I stopped at several individual sales at private homes, but the parking was a bit difficult at times.

I'll have a few more photos add by this afternoon...

Do you see a relative? Most of the photos I bought were from the mid-west.

This is just a tiny sample of the old photographs I bought at the 127 Sale this year. I found a box of photographs ~ more than 200 of them! There were 97 cabinet card photos and the rest were 1930 and older. I was so thrilled to happen upon this treasure box!

I'll post photo of a few more finds tonight or tomorrow...

  1. Dear Lana, Being a old photo addict myself, I must say how fortunate you are. You'll find yourself going back to them time and again just to gaze into those faces from long ago. You'll wonder where they were born, whether they married, had families and when they passed on.Every single one was a life with a history that you are now a part of. Enjoy! Susan

  9. WaHoooooooo! I would have been in "Hog Heaven"...okay now I do sound like I have lived in Virginia to long! What a great treasure trove of wonderful things. I love old pics. My great-great aunt owned an old photo studio back in Brownwood, Texas. My family recently came to own trunks full of old photos. We are planning a weekend to get together to go through all of them. Can't wait! Pam
