Love Grows Here
I've been working a bit sporadically lately, but I have finally finished another Valentine inspired punch needle design. I was also inspired by Frakturs of the 1700s and 1800s.
As usual, I'm using wonderful Valdani perle cotton, #8. Valdani has such a wide range of colors... it's hard to choose when placing an order! This one will also be mounted on a pine board that I've painted with Waverly Inspirations Chalk Paint by Plaid. I just don't have a photo of it on the board, yet.
I backed it with gray wool, although I was very tempted to go with red. I rolled the excess border forward and whip-stitched it with one of the Valdani threads I used in the design.
I'll probably save this one for the Early Work Mercantile update on Feb.1st. Maybe I'll have a few more things to go along with it. :)
Take care and God bless,
Lana
