I did try to do my own thing and join each round, chain 3, turn and go the other way. It may not turn out quite like it's meant to, but at least I'm getting lots of practice! I will share pics when it's finished, but it really will look like it's done by a beginner. Oh well, at least it'sLana Manishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03984967027046436970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1295766351549691373.post-27172852295527031292008-12-29T10:42:00.000-06:002008-12-29T10:42:00.000-06:00I'm not a great crocheter, but I do think everythi...I'm not a great crocheter, but I do think everything is done so the puff stitches will be on the front, so you have to keep turning, which does mean things are not done "in the ROUND"... and the directions do say "sew back seam"... :o)<BR/>~CheriAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1295766351549691373.post-31582000154013807822008-12-29T08:49:00.000-06:002008-12-29T08:49:00.000-06:00Hope you get it worked out, Lana. (Instead of turning, and going back and forth). But, then at the end, you will have to hand stitch a seam up the back. Until then, you will just have a flat piece. Odd, most hats you just go around in circles, joining each one to the first dc. Hope this Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
