Vintage Textiles Anyone?

In the midst of moving into my new workroom and trying to make everything fit in neatly (an impossible job!), I am beginning to list a few things once in a while on ebay that I think I can live without. Maybe, lol! There are lots of things I bought over the years that were just too cheap to pass up, things that were given to me by people who know I love to use old and vintage items in my creations, and things that I really, really had every intention of making something out of, but never found the time. Sound familiar? When you look at my auctions, some will make mention that particular items were my Mom's and Dad's. I am finally getting around to listing some things from their home. Even though we (their children) kept all the family pieces and then some, it is still hard to be getting rid of the rest, no matter how small. Most of it is of no value to most, but might be interesting or collected by someone. After all ~ one man's junk is another man's treasure. The things from my parents' home will be listed over the course of several weeks. Just mark me as a favorite seller on ebay or check back here once in a while to see what I have in the side bar. Here's the link to view all my auctions: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZhoneysucklelane. There's chenille pieces to use as is, or repurpose and make some wonderful crafty things; there's antique quilts, vintage quilt tops, very sweet shabby ruffled bedspreads; there's at least 50 neck ties (mostly silk) that would be perfect for a crazy quilt or doll clothing; and there are many more items to be added in the days to come.

I hope all of you have a safe and blessed Memorial weekend.

Take Care & God Bless,

Lana

  1. I know how difficult it is, getting rid of things that belonged to your parents. It just doesn't feel right, does it, but it has to be done. As far as the beach, to be honest, I can't wait to get home. I am not the kind of person that likes doing nothing. I love work and would rather be getting things done at home. Louise is not here. She sold her beach house when she bought her new house, but I am going to invite her down for a weekend, hope she comes.
    Take good care.
