For my Whimsy Wednesday, I'd like to share two lovely hand made / hand quilted pieces from my friend, Trevette.
The first one is a scalloped quilt and measures 11 inches square. Trevette has hand quilted a pineapple in the center and it is surrounded with a diagonal quilted grid.... the rows are just under 1/4" apart! Can you imagine such teeny tiny work?
The second quilt is 16 inches square and features a quilted bird in the center and in each corner is a baby bird in a nest. It also has a quilted grid with rows of stitching at 1/4" intervals. I love this one especially and have it in the room where I have other bird collectibles.

Lana, i recognized that bird right away. i have a lovely punch needle little rug with that same bird, and one of her dolls quilts as well. Trevette is a real sweetheart, just like you.
