Whimsy Wednesday

This is something new for me. I was supposed to do it a few weeks ago and have just been so busy to participate. If you'd like to join in the fun, please sign up here.
For my Whimsy Wednesday, I'd like to share two lovely hand made / hand quilted pieces from my friend, Trevette.
The first one is a scalloped quilt and measures 11 inches square. Trevette has hand quilted a pineapple in the center and it is surrounded with a diagonal quilted grid.... the rows are just under 1/4" apart! Can you imagine such teeny tiny work?

The second quilt is 16 inches square and features a quilted bird in the center and in each corner is a baby bird in a nest. It also has a quilted grid with rows of stitching at 1/4" intervals. I love this one especially and have it in the room where I have other bird collectibles.

Thank you for visiting on Whimsy Wednesday. Perhaps you could participate next Wednesday? Just click on the link each Wednesday and sign up!
